Season 2009 - 2010

Welcome to yet another season under the EPOCH table tennis banner, and once again we are pleased to announce that we are operating with a Premier division, plus 1, 2 and 3, although unfortunately we have lost a couple of our teams from last season for varying reasons. 

On the plus side, however, we have a very young Barrow based side competing in division 3, a product of the fine coaching at the Village Hall.  

Because of the full amalgamation of the 2 leagues, it was proposed that a new rule book be drawn up and issued to all participating players  and this will be given to you with your handbook. Please check the rules as there are a number of changes from last year, especially points such as postponements, banned rubbers etc should be digested.

We all wish to thank our webmaster for his hard work in setting up the EPOCH site, and we will endeavour to keep the pages up to date as the season progresses

Incidentally Simon informs me it is definitely NOT me and Barry Hough depicted at the top of the HOME page in one of our famous rallies ! 

In your handbook please check the CUP  page as it has been agreed by the committee that a pro forma be sent out to each captain via your secretary

to be completed showing which 3 cups you wish your team to enter. This does not include the Joe Farrington competition.

The information would need to be returned before Sept 25th otherwise the committee retain the right to allocate your team to 3 competitions of their choosing.

Finally for your information both Saughall Port and Saughall Deva will now play their home matches on  a WEDNESDAY night not Friday as in the handbook.
