Welcome to the Ellesmere Port/ Chester  Table Tennis Website for season 2011-2012. The new season is already under way and the site will be updated as frequently as possible giving information on league, cup and representative matches.

Last season was a tremendous one for the EPOCH banner as we lifted the coveted Lancs/Cheshire Premier division open age title, the first Cheshire league to do so, with a record of 7 wins from 7 matches. On top of that our A squad stormed through division 2 to get promotion again undefeated.

We fielded 3 Veterans sides in the various Lancs/ Cheshire divisions, the first team comfortably consolidating their first ever venture in the Premier division and the A and B sides gaining promotion from divisions 2 and 4 respectively.  To complete  a truly memorable year the Open age side also lifted the Norman Cook cup defeating Southport in the final.

Unfortunately our mens singles champion, 18 year old Zhang Yongbo, has moved to pastures new and our ladies champion Aurelie Bernadet has completed University and returned home to France, nevertheless the playing potential is still strong and we are always on the lookout for new players, of all standards to compete in our 4 divisions of 38 teams which makes us still the largest league in the county. Anyone interested in taking up the game or returning to playing after a period away should contact one of the committee listed on the Website and we will do our utmost to assist.

As all players are probably aware by now the ETTA have introduced a new registration system for all individuals playing at league level. You must obtain a relevent number as soon as possible to continue playing , if you have any problems either contact your captain, or ring Russell Benstead our treasurer who is colating the information as it is received.
